Regional sites also will receive big boost in production resources, including onsite studio shows and SupraCam

After notching its most-watched regular season of NCAA women’s basketball since 2008-09, ESPN is betting big on that momentum heading into the 2026 NCAA tournament. From expanded camera complements across every round to onsite studio shows for regional sites to its biggest Final Four production to date, the broadcaster is deploying more resources than ever to match — and fuel — the sport’s remarkable rise.

“We’re very bullish on the women’s-basketball landscape,” says Meg Aronowitz, SVP, production, ESPN. “You’ll see that in what we’re doing with this tournament. It’s a true investment in the sport that will continue to grow in every round. We’re adding [production resources not just for the Final Four] in Phoenix but also for the Regional and early rounds.

“That is a direct correlation to the growth of the game and the success that we’ve had broadcasting them,” she continues. “It shows you the commitment that ESPN has made to women’s basketball that we’re continuing to invest and to put an even better product on the air for the fan at home.”
